Being in our dance company is a great way for more serious dancers to take their dancing to the next level. Dancers have the opportunity to learn technical and performance skills while experiencing the joy of making lasting friendships and learning to work together as a team. Dancers learn important life lessons along the way and what it means to uphold our PEDC code of ethics including integrity, leadership, responsibility, character, and professionalism to grow and become strong, confident young women.
Our students compete in various regional competitions and perform at events in the Lindale and Tyler area and had the privilege of performing at the City of Tyler’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony in 2019, and Studio 16 Dance Center's Christmas Dinner Theater in 2021. PEDC is a full year commitment August through May with regular attendance in classes and rehearsals required. PEDC members are required to take their team classes as well as ballet. SST (stretch, strength, and technique) classes are required for the older teams. We welcome new members to PEDC each year.
If you are new to Studio 16 Dance Center and would like more information about PEDC, please contact Mrs. Karie at 903-216-7030. All class requirements must be taken at Studio 16 Dance Center and team placement is determined by director and assistant director evaluation.
